Have you got a Dux hot water system and have just discovered that you have no hot water when you turn on your taps, here is how to solve it.
Begin by going to your hot water heater and checking if the pilot light is on, if it is not, this means that it will need to be relit.
You do not have to call a plumber to do this and can instead follow these simple steps – once you have learnt this, you will be able to turn your pilot off if you are going away on holiday or for a long period of time.
Start by turning the control dial to the off position.
Allow at least five minutes so that unburnt gas that is left can dissipate. Turn the dial to the pilot position.
Press the control dial completely inwards and after holding this down for thirty seconds, keep holding and repeatedly press the igniter button until the pilot light ignites.
Continue holding the dial down for a further twenty seconds. Release the dial and check to see if it is still alight.
And there you have it - how to relight your Dux hot water system.
